About Your Chiropractor

Dr. Shirda Vandeyar attained her Master’s degree in Chiropractic from the University of Johannesburg. Her journey to becoming a chiropractor began with a keen interest in the health sciences and a desire to immerse herself in a meaningful career.

During her studies, Shirda gained hands-on experience whilst treating patients at the University of Johannesburg Chiropractic Clinic as well as Ethembeni’s Children’s Hospital. She has also worked with sportsmen and sportswomen such as:

  • Runners at the Sarens Marathon
  • King Edward School Rugby team
  • Victoria Lake Rowing team
  • Gauteng Masters Squash Championships
  • Cyclists at the 94.7 Cycle Challenge and Cape Epic Cycle challenge.

Shirda believes that pain and disability can impede on an individual’s ability to perform basic everyday tasks. During her years of education and training, she has learnt and observed how chiropractic treatment can eliminate pain, restore function and improve mobility. She is passionate about utilising her chiropractic skills and knowledge to enhance the quality of life of others by eliminating pain and facilitating the process to improving bodily function. Shirda is a family chiropractor. She believes in a patient centred approach where each patient receives personalised care of the highest quality. She is dedicated to working with patients to reach their optimal state of health and well-being.
